Twirl Academy

This Majorette Twirling Fundamentals Camp is designed to introduce and strengthen the core skills of baton twirling in a fun, structured, and encouraging environment. Campers will focus on proper grip, posture, hand placement, wrist control, and body alignment while learning essential twirling techniques. This camp is perfect for young learners who are eager to develop confidence, coordination, and a love for performing.
Campers are required to bring their own baton to participate. The recommended baton can be ordered from Star Line Baton: SLB Pro Baton.  Please note that shipping can take up to two weeks, so students should order their batons well in advance of camp. To find the correct size, measure from your armpit to the tip of your longest finger—the steel baton should match this length. This specific baton is ideal because it does not roll when dropped, helping beginners learn safely.

Camp Leader: 
The camp will be led by Lisa Woolstrum, a member of Caldwell Academy’s Dialectic Faculty and a former high school and college majorette. With her experience and passion for twirling, Mrs. Woolstrum is excited to teach young campers the fundamentals of baton twirling in a fun and supportive environment.
