Unleash your digital creativity at this four-day Teen Canva Design Summer Camp! This immersive workshop is tailored for young teens eager to master the essentials of graphic design, social media content creation, and digital presentation using the user-friendly power of Canva. Whether students are designing on a computer or using the mobile app on their cell phones, they will gain practical skills applicable across all platforms. Chromebooks will be provided for all campers.
Camp Highlights
Multi-Platform Mastery: Learn to design seamlessly using both desktop/laptop computers and mobile devices.

Daily Skill Building: Each day focuses on a specific design discipline:
Day 1: Canva Fundamentals & Layout – Master the interface, explore design principles (color theory, typography), and learn how to use existing templates effectively.
Day 2: Social Media Static Posts – Design eye-catching graphics for platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
Day 3: Motion Graphics & Reels – Dive into animation tools, learn to edit video clips, add music, and create engaging social media reels/short videos. Begin working on your personalized final project.
Day 4: Branding & Showcase – Learn to create a consistent brand identity (logos, color palettes) and present your final design portfolio to the class, receiving peer feedback and celebrating your creative achievements.
Hands-On Projects: Apply what you learn daily. Your final project will integrate all acquired skills into a cohesive design portfolio, such as a mini social media campaign, a personal brand kit, or a dynamic video reel.
Build a Portfolio: Leave the camp with a collection of impressive digital designs and the confidence to create professional-looking content.

Camp Leader:
The camp will be led by Courtney Whitsett, an experienced educator and Caldwell Academy parent. With her passion for teaching and hands-on learning, Mrs. Whitsett guides students as they explore digital design concepts, encouraging creativity, technical skill-building, and confidence in young designers.
