Flying into 1st Grade

Making the transition to a new school or even a new classroom can be daunting. Flying into 1st Grade gives students a chance to make new friends or reconnect with old ones while reviewing key academic skills. Campers will brush up on language arts, including reading and decoding skills, vocabulary, and high-frequency words. They will also review math concepts such as number words, numbers, number writing, number bonds, addition, and subtraction. All of these skills will be approached in fun, engaging ways through games, acting, and plenty of movement.

Camp Leaders:
The camp will be led by Lauren Worrell and Kristi Miles, both experienced Caldwell Academy Kindergarten teachers. Together, they bring a nurturing and engaging approach to early learning, creating a supportive environment where students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and have fun as they prepare for 1st grade.
