STEM Innovators Academy: Young Creators & Problem Solvers

Our 4-day STEM Innovators Academy is a hands-on workshop designed for curious kids entering grades 3–5. This isn’t your average STEM camp—we challenge students to think like real-world inventors. Your child won’t just watch demonstrations; they will use the "Trial and Error" method to design, build, and test their own creations.

Daily Adventures in STEM

Monday: Science (Chemical Reactions & Weather Wonders)
We’re moving beyond just observing science to controlling it! Campers will become "Chemistry Chefs" as they change ingredients to speed up or slow down fizzy reactions. They’ll also dive into the science of the sky, building their own weather tools to track invisible forces like air pressure and heat.

Tuesday: Technology (Robots & Electric Inventions)
It’s time to speak the language of robots! Campers will use block coding to help their robots "think" their way through tricky obstacle courses. Later, they’ll get hands-on with electronics—building their own gadgets while learning how electricity flows through circuits and hardware.

Wednesday: Engineering (The Great Build & Blast-Off)
Campers step into the shoes of structural engineers for our "Load-Bearing Challenge." They will design and prototype bridges and towers, then test them to see if they can survive a "simulated disaster." The day ends with a bang as we explore flight by launching custom-made water rockets.

Thursday: Math (Mapping & Data Storytelling) Math is the secret tool every inventor needs. Campers will bring geometry to life by building 3D models of mountains and valleys using scale and shapes. We’ll wrap up the week by turning the data from our experiments into colorful infographics to show off what we discovered!

Camp Leaders:
The camp will be led by Courtney Whitsett, an experienced educator and Caldwell Academy parent, and Tiffany Nevells, an Engineering Scrum Master for a global electrical manufacturer. With their combined skills and perspectives, they guide students through engaging experiments, projects, and challenges, fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in lower-grammar school learners.
